I was going to do all individual posts regarding the items that I brought a couple of weeks ago, but with work and moving house I haven't had a chance to try them all yet.
So instead, I'm doing a joint post showing what I brought and my first impressions of them. This is going to be a long post!
My first stop in town was Superdrug as I wanted to try some MUA items.
The pale eyeshadow is Shade 16 which has a matt finish. This is gorgeous as a highlight colour and for the inner corner of the eye. The purple is Shade 9 which has a pearl finish. This colour is so pretty!
The blusher is shade 3 and is a lovely apricot colour.
Here are some swatches for you. The texture of all of these are gorgeous.
The eye shadows are highly pigmented and have a creamy/powder texture. They apply very well but I recommend a primer first as they can crease.
Next I went to look at the Sleek items. I have been wanting to try Sleek's Pout Paints for a while but I haven't really had the confidence to wear any of them as they are quite bright, but I thought why not?
I picked up the colour Peachy Keen. This is a really nice peach colour which isn't as bright as some of the other colours. These are similar to Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars (see below). They are highly pigmented and a little goes a very long way.
These Barry M items were packaged up together to raise money for charity. I'm not sure if you can get hold of any of them anymore though? There are no names but there is a raspberry colour nail varnish, a baby pink lip gloss and a black eye liner. All for only £2
I also picked up a couple more Barry M nail paint. I had to pick up one of their new magnetic nail paints.I decided to get it in blue as I already have some of these in other colours from different brands. I love that there are different magnet styles as well. These are so much fun and I always get lots of compliments when I wear it.
Then I grabbed this amazing nail paint called Silvery Lilac. This is lush. It looks gorgeous on its own when you paint on a couple of coats but I like it as one coat over darker colours too.
As I mentioned in my previous post here I ordered some items online from Cocktail Cosmetics. Here are the 2 items that I got.
As I was impressed with the Sleek Pout Paint that I picked up, I decided to order a couple of OCC Lip Tars too. I got them in Harlot (red) and Kartricia (purple). Harlot is a lovely cherry red that is great for any occasion. I wore it to work and got some really nice compliments. Kartricia is a lovely lilac that is going to be great for summer. Can't wait!
I also ordered a couple of items from Ebay including these brushes from RealTechniques by Samantha Chapman (pixiwoo on YouTube).
And a lovely pinky nude lip liner from NYX Cosmetics called Hampton.
I will need to do an update on these as I haven't used them yet.
I hope you enjoyed this little haul. Any questions just let me know.
Love & Hugs
Claire x
